    • Contact information: Name, phone number, email, address, date of birth, age, marital status, location, government Ids (such as Aadhar, PAN, driving license), company details.
    • Employment details: Contact information along with employment history and educational details.
    • Vehicle Information: Your vehicle information (including registration number, VIN, mileage, and warranty-covered repair information), telematics data (where you have subscribed to Suzuki Connect and permitted to access this data).
    • Location and device information: Your device location (where you have permitted access to location) such as IP address on website and cookies (for more information visit our cookies Policy)
    • Financial Details: Details of any transactions between you and DICV or members of our authorized dealer network, car insurance and loan details
    • Other details: Voice recordings of calls you make to our customer service centres, “Live chat” records and any information within correspondence you send to us.

    Why does DICV process your personal data?

    DICV processes your Personal Data for specified and lawful purposes only and in accordance with the Digital Data Protection Act 2023.

    • You have voluntarily provided your personal data to DICV for specific purposes.
    • Processing is necessary to fulfil DICV’s legal obligations.

    Purchasing a vehicle or a part When you order a vehicle or its part from us, information is collected by the dealer for their own internal processing and on behalf of DICV for the fulfilment of warranties and services associated to the purchase of the vehicle or parts/accessories
    Purchasing products/accessories via our website When you order a product via our website some information (billing and delivery details) is collected and, where applicable sent to the dealer for the fulfilment
    Marketing to Potential Customers The information provided by you on our website and at brand-sponsored/organized events may be utilized for marketing purposes, based on the consent given by you
    Research and surveys The information provided by you on our website, at brand-sponsored/organized events, or during purchase of our product may be utilized for conducting market research and surveys
    Customer Service When you contact our customer service center, personal and vehicle details are collected for the purpose of identity verification and in order to assist the relevant queries such as road side assistance
    Vehicle maintenance services/repairs and feedback We use your personal data to send you maintenance service reminders for your vehicles, maintain records of your vehicle maintenance services or repairs and request your feedback of services provided by authorized service centers
    Improvement of our product and services We may use your personal data such as telematics data to improve and enhance our products and services
    Government Agencies We may also share Personal Information with governmental or other public authorities
    Vendor/Supplier profile creation Vendor Personal Data for onboarding and management, supply chain management, payment and accounting, and management of our risks and operations (e.g., prevent and detect security threats, exercise or defend legal claims)

    Cross Border Transfer of your Personal Data

    Whenever we transfer your personal data for processing outside of India, we will do so on the basis of the binding agreements governed by DICV wherein we will take steps to ensure that the transfer of your personal data receives an adequate level of protection as it does within the organization.

    What are your rights and how you can exercise them?

    You have certain data privacy rights in relation to your personal data which can be exercised by you as per the applicable data protection law.

    • Right to access your personal information- You have the right to obtain information about your personal data being processed by us, post authentication of your request we will share all the personal data along with the purpose and third parties with whom data is shared.
    • Right to correction and erasure- You have the right to correct/update and erase your personal data being processed by us. Post authentication of your request DICV will erase your personal data unless retention is necessary for the specific purpose or compliance with law.
    • Right to withdraw consent- You have the right to withdraw consent when you have given your consent to process your personal data
    • Right to nominate- You have the right to nominate any individual who will in the event of your death or incapacity may exercise data principal rights on your behalf.
    • Right of grievance redressal- In case you have any grievance related to your rights or any complaint about how your personal data is processed by us, you can raise your grievance with us by contacting the grievance officer.

    • In relation to most of the rights, we will ask you for information to confirm your identity. Except in rare cases, we will respond to you within 07 days after we have received any request from you.

    How long does DICV retain your personal data?

    DICV retains your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or longer if required to fulfil our legal obligations.

    How does DICV share your personal data?

    • DICV may, where applicable and if relevant, share your information with companies or organizations to whom we have passed the responsibility to manage services on our behalf such as roadside assistance, customer contact centres, direct marketing communications, market research or market analytics, organising specific events/surveys to specific category of individuals.
    • We will also share your information with our authorized dealers and service centres in situations where we need to pass your information to them to manage any request you have made to us. For example, when you have requested a test drive, we will need to share your personal information with your authorized dealers so that they can contact you to arrange for the test drive to take place.
    • IIn certain circumstances, we may share your personal data with our affiliates/subsidiaries in or outside India to fulfil orders, transactions or provide you with a service or information that you have requested.
    • We may also share your personal data with government agencies for the purpose of verification of identity of criminal, or for prevention of crimes, detection of crimes and investigation including cyber incidents, prosecution, and punishment of offences, or any other legal obligations.
    • We ensure that any third-party partners who processes your personal data on our behalf comply with applicable data protection laws and have appropriate safeguards to protect your personal they are undertaking on our behalf.

    How does DICV safeguard your personal data?

    DICV is committed towards the safety and protection of your personal data. We use a range of security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized or unlawful access, loss, disclosure, or alteration, including technical, organizational, and physical measures. DICV has formulated an Information System Management System (ISMS) to regulate the information security controls across the organization as per industry practices and standards.

    Changes to the Privacy Policy

    DICV may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we materially change our Privacy Policy, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of the Privacy Policy and we may provide Policy prior to the update taking effect by posting a Policy on our website or, where required by law, by providing you with Policy of such updates.
